On October 2nd, we joyfully celebrated the 25th Anniversary of our beloved home — a day filled with gratitude, reunion, and the presence of God’s abundant blessings. The celebration was truly a family gathering: many of our old girls, now grown and married, returned with their families and children. It was a touching sight to see them all again, sharing memories and smiles after so many years. The children were overjoyed to meet their “older sisters” who once lived here. Their laughter and stories filled the day with warmth and joy.
The day began with a Solemn High Mass offered in thanksgiving for the countless graces received throughout these 25 years. Following the Mass, the children presented the life of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, whose charity and humility continue to inspire us all. Their performance was both moving and beautifully done, leaving many hearts touched by her example.
The celebration continued with a lively Kollattam, a traditional dance performed by the girls in colourful costumes, much to the delight of our guests. Truly, Tutto per Gesù — all for Jesus and for His glory!
We were especially honoured by the presence of Fr. Couture, representing the Superior General, who shared a heartfelt letter on this joyful occasion. We were also blessed to have Madre Maria Rita and Padre Emmanuel with us from Italy, and Fr. Summers from Singapore whose presence brought great joy to everyone. Our dear benefactors Mrs. Francesca and Mr. Enzo, as well as Sara Ruggero, representing all the volunteers who have supported us over these 25 years, made the day even more special by joining us in person.
We thank all our staff, volunteers, and friends who worked tirelessly to make the celebration so beautiful. Every flower, every smile, every effort was an offering of love to God.
Another moment of grace took place on October 11th, the Feast of the Maternity of Our Lady, when Mr. Joseph Santhosh and Mrs. Lydia Santhosh were received into the Militia of the Sacred Heart. Fr. Emmanuel presided over the ceremony, received their promise, and imposed the medal upon them. It was truly a beautiful sight — a reminder that the Kingdom of the Sacred Heart continues to reign in hearts and families. They are the first members to join the Militia of the Sacred Heart and now belong to the family of the Consoling Sisters of the Sacred Heart.
As the new academic year begins, our children are joyfully back to their studies, eager and determined to do their best.
Dear benefactors, we thank you from the depths of our hearts. Without your generous support, these 25 years of blessings would not have been possible. After thanking Divine Providence, our next heartfelt thanks go to you. Please know that you are remembered with love and gratitude in our daily prayers.
