New Church Project Overview and Progress

Dear friends and benefactors,
We write to give you an update on the work funded by your most generous contributions and prayers.
We are so grateful to Divine Providence, through you, our dear benefactors and friends, who have made it possible to support this work and our apostolate, both materially and through prayer.
The first phase of the work continues to progress. WILL YOU HELP US TO FINISH PHASE ONE, PLEASE, THE STRUCTURE? Thanks to you, and thanks be to God and St. Joseph, the roof of the Church has been tiled. The bell tower ahs been finished (made with hand-carved stone), and the they are working on erecting the walls.
Thanks to your generosity, we have paid a total of 1,411,000 euros of a first phase estimate of 1,873,000 euro. That represents 73% of the estimate.
Lord willing, we hope and pray the balance of the first phase funds may be raised soon to allow the work to proceed. We are confident in Our Lord, in His Most Sacred Heart, that the Church and convent addition will proceed according to His Providence. We cannot hope and pray for more, and thank you all for responding to His inspiration and grace. We cannot be more thankful to your material and spiritual generosity. May God be praised.

Dear friends and benefactors,At last—after much prayer and many supplications to Saint Joseph—the work has finally begun on the construction of the church and the small adjoining convent.
To keep you updated on the progress and financing of the project, we have asked a few technically and managerially skilled faithful to form a small committee. Their role will be to keep you regularly informed about the development of the construction site and related expenses.
This initiative stems from the fact that we do not always possess these specific skills ourselves, but above all, because we do not want to take time away from prayer and apostolic work.
This small volunteer committee is made up of experts in construction, finance, IT, and photography. We thank them sincerely for dedicating part of their time to this charitable work.
To help more friends and faithful stay informed about the progress of the construction, we hope to be able to publish updates in our web-site with several languages—especially those spoken in the countries our Sisters come from: Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, Polish…

Project Overview
Estimated total duration: approximately 2 years and 3 months
Project phases: Phase 1, Foundation and Structural, Phase 2, Finish
Estimated total cost of the works: approximately $3,815,000 (including VAT)
Purpose: to build a chapel suitable for current needs, a sacristy, new spaces for apostolic work, housing for the priests, twelve new rooms for the Sisters—who currently often share rooms two or three to a bunk bed—a central cloister, and a parking area.
Phases 1, Structural Foundation to Roof – Summary and In-Progress
Phase 1 (estimated total duration: 12 to 18 months) Estimated cost: approximately $2,035,980 (including VAT)
Zoning plan modiftcation – approved
Permit application – 3 month duration completed and design and consulting fees paid.
Permit issuance and authorizations – 4 month duration completed and approved by Monicipalities, Cultural Heritage Superintendent, and Fire Department.
Contract and construction site mobilization completed
Total amount paid to date: approximately $356,500 (around 17.5% of Phase 1 costs), $43,070 in initial administrative and consulting expenses, plus $313,430 construction company adance (including VAT) for materials and foundation installation.
Deep escavation and pilings completed.
20 piles are approximately 31.5 inches (80 cm) in diameter, with lengths ranging between 59 and 72 feet (18 to 22 meters) drilled, reinforced with rebar and concrete poured
67 piles are about 15.75 inches (40 cm) in diameter, and also around 66 feet (20 meters) long
In total, the foundation work used about 99,000 pounds of rebar and steel, and approximately 7,060 cubic feet of concrete.
Once pile installation is complete—expected by the end of July—a load test will be conducted. If successful, the next construction phase is scheduled to begin in September 2025.
In Progress: Foundation beams, the so-called “igloos,” the first floor slab, and finally the perimeter retaining walls, which form an “L” shape to accommodate the shape of the land.
As you can see from the pictures, the 1st floor slab is nearly complete.
Thanks to you, our most generous benefactors, we have been able to pay approximately €825,500 against our €1,850,000 budget for Phase 1. Deo Gratias. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
At the beginning of November, we will pay for the second part of the foundation work which amounts to €175,957.98 (204,791.33 dollars), including the architect’s fee and the construction manager.
We are appealing to your generosity because by the end of December we will have to pay for the third part of the foundation work, which will amount to roughly the same cost as the second part €166,535.00 (194,152.33 dollars).
